I was doing some devotional Bible reading last night along with my Sunday school work because I couldn't sleep. The reason I couldn't sleep is because I took a 2 1/2 hour nap earlier in the afternoon. I came home from a long week at work, and just crashed. I woke up feeling rejuvenated, but I also felt like I could've slept all night.

While I was spending some alone time with God, which helps me get to sleep when I'm having a restless night, I came across some scriptures that I wanted to add to an entry here because they show me that God is in control of everything and He is there for me even now. He's showing me through the Bible that everything will turn out okay in my life as long as I call on Him first and foremost.

Scripture #1: "My times are in your hands; deliver me from my enemies and from those who pursue me." -Psalm 31:15, NIV

Scripture #2: "You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you." -Isaiah 26:3, NIV

Scripture #3: "I can do everything through him who gives me strength." -Philippians 4:13, NIV

Scripture #4: "Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." -Philippians 4:6-7, KJV

Scripture #5: "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." -Philippians 4:19, KJV

My Sunday school class has been doing a book called The Remarkable Women of the Bible by Elizabeth George. Today we finished talking about the fourth chapter related to Mary, the mother of Jesus. There were a couple of things I felt a need to journal that seemed kind of significant to what I've been feeling lately. "Dear one, consider two lessons from Mary's difficult life that we can take with us along life's painful path. "Lesson #1: Life's pain should never allow us to neglect caring for our loved ones. Jesus shows us that. Despite the agonizing pain He felt as He hung dying on the cross, He was thinking of Mary, and he called John to provide for her. What I have learned today!!!

This morning I spent some time in Job, and I got convicted because I have had a hard time trusting God.  He used my time in the Word today to help me realize what I have been doing wrong.  I have been trying to fit God into a tiny box, but He is bigger and mightier than that.  I've been trusting God for the little things, so that now God wants to do some big things through me I am having a crisis of faith.  I now believe He can do the big things, too. One of the problems I realized I was having today was for years I've been judged based on my appearance, and told I could only do so much.  It became so frequent that I started believing it myself.  That's why I've been struggling to trust God because He knows I can do more than that with His help and He wants to take me there.  God wants to take me beyond my limitations!  God sees potential in me that I struggle to see in myself.  I can trust Him because... “God’s way is perfect.  All the Lord ’s promises prove true
